Benjamin argues, that having an original is almost pointless as having a a print it can be reproduced many times over and over, so what would be the point in having the original.
And i agree. There is no point in having an original at this day and age when it comes to a photograph at least. You can take photo from other peoples facebook have someone email you photos and get them printed so Benjamin was right to ask what the point was.And if the photo is taken digitally and you print it isn't that still thee original since the original is not something you can hold. And to me that's what an original is, something you hold and can claim to your friends that you have.
In agreeing with Benjamin though, i do like have something original that i can boast about to my friend and isn't whats its for or all it can be now since i cant see its use other than that.

Mr Newton was the first person to really explore into colour and what it was and he revolutionized the way we thought about colour. from his theories of optics, pure white lights that are the source of all colour and all colour was derived from that light. This "pink floyd" album is the probably the best and most well known picture describing Newtons theory. he also made the colour wheel and that is still mad as if you ask me
After Newton there were two artists that were large admirers of Newton but opposed that colour was not at all mathematics at all
but colour was from emotions that came from thee eye. and in turn was made far easier to understand from the artistic world.
The other artist died young but made large head waves going on to say colours were spiritual and had simbolic meaning and forms. he also created the colour sphere.

Adolf Loo's was a outrageous designer and theorist but some of his ideas were nothing other than brilliant. And in ways i agree with what he has to say.
When he went to say " what is happening to the countryside when they have utensils of previous centuries he is not a Christian but a heathen" in ways i agree, because in my mind he is trying to say that holding onto these old items we are holding onto the past cant move forward as a race but i do not think this man has taken into account or would ever have how the classes of society worked below the one he was in. For instance these farmers couldnt just go out and buy and buy and keep up with the times in there eyes if it worked and did its purpose why would you get ride of it for a more expensive utensil that does the same thing.
but i did like how he harassed his piers and called them out for not moving with change when they should be at the front of it pushing all the boundary's.
in short at the time i would have disagreed but now in this time i wholeheartedly agree but then now im a degenerate and more than likely a criminal.

Owen Jones had it man, he knew what he was talking about when he said
“Construction should be decorated. Decoration should never be
purposely constructed.”
And in my mind this simply meant a design should be made for the purpose and that purpose only, and made to look pleasing after if there is time. not have something designed to look good and fit its purpose at a second rate. more or less I think of the rococo era which is just horrible and hurts my eyes and makes me wonder who was in charge of those design. for-shame to that person. an example being the chairs these photos show them starting from the rococo to now and being stylistic to purpose built
this chair above has sparked allot of interest and question to is it decorated design or constructed decoration and to be honest it has many point swaying in both sides, my opinion however is that i believe it to be constructed decoration due to the fact that i wouldn't sit on it and feel it should be only viewed at.
And finally this chair it the final product in thee design that has taken years. It is simple and yet it looks sleek and elegant.

I really really hate the curve! ( lucky i dont swear )
When i look at all the early pieces of work such as the candle sticks or whatever you want to call them. There horrible on the eyes, they tried to make something look flowing and out of nature but it just looks far to unnatural to be a piece of historic design. To me it seems like it shouldnt be able to even balance by itself. I find these pieces and most other so very ugly I fail to understand how it was good to have something like this in a house apart from the fact that they were gold or silver, something simple but gold would just have a far better astetic apeal.
On the other hand the art nouveau capital Riga I think looks so amazing. Because they have dulled down the horrible horrible looks of the early works.Everything there is curved and elligent but they are grided with straight lines its fantastic!

THE PENCIL
i think the pencil is one of the most important things to ever be a part of design. It has been part of every major building, bridge and all the other marvel we have created. And slowly through the ages it has been made sleeker and way sexier if you know what i mean.

the brainstorm and a idea
this was just a rip on adidas to be honest i was trying to imply that no matter how much adidas tried they wouldnt every be able to make anything like NIKE do.
project #3
hi team i am doing NIKE
i love this brand, i love the logo, the name everything about it. particully in football. when you wear the boots you wear the mindset that you are better than everyone on that pitch, when your team needs you you are there. you are the most dangerous player and strike fear into you oppsitions hearts.
and hopefully i can show some videos that explain this from none other than nike......

plans
Alright team so iv been mapping out a few ideas and iv kind of come up with in idea ( no my main man its not the idea talked to you about but i think its good ) my idea however is on the choices we make from day to day based on trends and how we relate to them or are affected by these trends.
So i want to play that out by showing two people that live in the same flat but do everything different or choose things different when they wake up.
ill let you know how it goes
PEACE!
